This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use regarding the collection, use, or sharing of personal data, this Privacy Policy will govern.

This policy applies only to information we collect:

  • Through the Services.

  • In communications, including email, text, chat, and other electronic messages, between you and the Services.

  • It does not apply to information collected by:

  • Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party that does not link to this policy; or

  • Any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services.

We may provide additional or different privacy policies that are specific to certain features, services, or activities.

The Services are intended solely for users located in the United States. We do not direct the Services to, and do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals outside the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with applicable laws.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we treat it. By interacting with our Services or providing us with your information, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of the Services after we make changes as described here is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Children’s and Minors’ Data

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under 18, you should use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

The Personal Data That We Collect or Process

“Personal data” is information that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual, such as your name, email address, telephone number, home address, or payment information.

The types and categories of personal data we collect or process include:

  • Account and contact information, including name, contact details collected at checkout, and any other information you provide.

  • As of the date of this Privacy Policy, our payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your credit card or debit card information.

  • Transaction and order history, including information about your purchases, order history, or digital product downloads.

  • Location information.

  • Device information, including your IP address.

  • Content and information you elect to provide us (if any) in emails, chats, or other communications sent to us, including farm financial data provided in connection with custom spreadsheet consulting or data management services (such as income and expense records, yield history, livestock inventory, crop pricing, loan terms, tax-related financial information, and other operational data).

  • Information received from professional licensees in connection with custom spreadsheet builds, which may include the professional licensee’s business information, client lists, firm branding materials, and other information necessary to complete the custom build. The Company does not receive or access personal data of the professional licensee’s own clients unless and to the extent such data is provided directly by the professional licensee in connection with a data management engagement.

  • Some of the information identified above may be considered sensitive data under certain laws. If required under applicable law, we will collect and process sensitive personal data only with your consent. If you choose not to provide or allow us to collect some information, we may not be able to provide you with requested features, services, or information.

We may also collect:

  • Statistics or aggregated information. This data does not directly identify a specific person. We may derive non-personal statistical or aggregated data from personal data. For example, we may aggregate personal data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Services feature.

  • Technical information. This includes information about your internet connection and usage details, such as clickstream data (including date and time), products viewed or searched, page response times, download errors, visit duration, page interactions (scrolling, clicks, mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from a page.

If we combine or connect non-personal statistical or technical data with personal data so that it directly or indirectly identifies an individual, we treat the combined information as personal information.

How We Collect Your Personal and Other Data

You Provide Information to Us

We collect information when you interact with our Services, such as when you place an order for a digital product, engage us for custom spreadsheet consulting or data management services, or communicate with us. For custom work and data management services, we may receive farm financial data, including but not limited to income and expense records, yield history, livestock inventory, crop pricing, loan terms, tax-related financial information (such as Schedule F data), and other operational data as needed to complete your project.

For professional licensees engaging the Company for custom spreadsheet builds, we may collect information necessary to scope, build, and deliver the project, which may include the licensee’s firm name, branding materials, contact information, and any financial or operational data provided by the licensee for incorporation into the custom deliverable. If a professional licensee provides data belonging to the licensee’s own clients, the licensee is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary authorizations and consents from such clients before sharing such data with the Company. The licensee shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company from any claims arising out of or relating to the Company’s use of such data as contemplated hereunder.

Automatically Through Our Services

As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect information, including usage details, IP addresses, operating system, browser type, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies. This may include traffic data, location data, logs, other communication data, and details about which resources and features you access.

We use cookies from Google Analytics (using a G- measurement ID) for website traffic analysis and Squarespace standard cookies for site functionality. We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising. Third-party service providers that support the Services (such as Squarespace for website hosting, Stripe for payment processing, and Google for analytics) may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with providing services to us. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies or other tracking technologies, or to alert you when these files are being sent, and some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. If you disable or refuse cookies, some Services features may be inaccessible or not function properly. We may use cookies to save your settings and to provide customizable and personalized services. Service providers that support the Services may use their own cookies as part of providing services to us; we do not control these cookies and disclaim responsibility for information collected through them.

How We Use and Share Your Information

We use personal data to: (a) fulfill digital product orders and deliver download links; (b) send purchase confirmations and product guides; (c) communicate with you about your orders, projects, or inquiries; (d) send follow-up product announcements or new template release notifications (you may opt out at any time); (e) complete custom spreadsheet consulting or data management projects as agreed upon with you; (f) maintain the security and integrity of the Services and prevent fraud or misuse; (g) improve and develop the Services; (h) comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use; and (i) for any other purpose described to you at the time of collection. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share personal data with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (specifically, Squarespace for website hosting and e-commerce, Stripe for payment processing, and Google Analytics for website traffic analysis), and with third parties (i) as required by law or legal process, (ii) to protect the rights, safety, and property of the Company, our users, or others, and (iii) in connection with a merger, reorganization, dissolution, or sale of some or all of our assets (in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction). Farm financial data received from custom work or data management services is used solely to complete the agreed-upon project and is never shared with any third party.

How We Protect Your Personal Data

We rely on the security infrastructure provided by Squarespace and Stripe for template sales and customer data. Data from custom work and data management services may be stored on our local computer and/or cloud storage during the engagement. While we make efforts to protect information under our control, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent unauthorized access. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

How We Retain Your Personal Data

We retain personal data as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as legally permitted or required, including for operating our business, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and for safety, security, and fraud prevention. Template customer data is stored within the Squarespace and Stripe platforms; we do not maintain a separate customer database for template sales. Custom work data is retained during the engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter, after which it will be securely deleted. For professional licensees under an annual license, data necessary to perform annual updates may be retained for the duration of the annual license term and securely deleted following expiration or termination of the license, unless a longer retention period is required by law or agreed to in writing. At the end of any applicable retention period, personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or deidentified.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we maintain about you, subject to legal and operational limitations. Clients who have received custom work may request return or deletion of all farm financial data provided to us at any time. To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link included in each marketing email or contact us directly.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will provide notice as required by law. The date the policy was last updated is identified at the top of the page. We will notify you of changes by updating the “last updated” date and posting the revised policy on the Services. You should check our Services periodically to see the current policy.
