Herd Setup & Exposure
Set your analysis year, bull turn-in dates, and exposed-female count — the SPA denominator every number builds from. Your own cows and replacements exposed, plus bred females or pairs bought, minus females culled or sold before the breeding season ended and pregnant females or pairs sold.

Every cow scored on this year's calf, with its adjusted weight compared against calves of the same sex, weaning date, and management group. A flag points to the ones worth a closer look — did not calve, calf did not wean, open at the fall preg check, late calvers, and light calves.
Herd SPA Summary
Your whole herd next to CHAPS benchmarks: pregnancy, calving and weaning rates, calf death loss, calving distribution, and the headline in gold — pounds weaned per cow exposed against the 509 lb CHAPS benchmark, which you can edit. Plus a simplified unit cost of production. Not affiliated with NDSU or the CHAPS program.
Cow Herd Costs
Build your annual cow cost from your own figures — winter feed, pasture, supplement and mineral, plus vet, breeding, labor, and machinery, less cull cow and bull sales. It feeds the unit-cost number on your SPA Summary, so that figure is built on your numbers, not a guess.
Year-over-Year
Trend the key numbers across up to six years — pounds weaned per cow exposed, weaning rate, death loss, and calving timing. A single off year is noise; a multi-year drift is the signal.
